Tire FAQ

  • What is the point of rotating tires? If your tires stay on the same wheel for too long, they will wear unevenly and need to be replaced sooner. With regular tire rotations, moving the tires from one wheel to another, your tires can stay in shape for longer.
  • How can I find the pressure of my tires? You can buy a tire gauge to check your tires. When the tires are cold (either before you drive or half an hour after you drive), unscrew the valve cap and press the tire gauge onto the valve for a few seconds to get a reading. You can also stop by our service center, and we'll check for you.
  • What is the general lifespan for a set of tires/ When Should I replace my tires? That depends on the type of tire, driving conditions, maintenance and other factors. As a general rule, you should have your tires inspected after about five years or 50,000 miles to see if they need to be replaced. Some tires can last up to ten years before needing to be replaced.
  • What is TPMS and what needs to be done if my indicator comes on? TPMS stands for tire pressure monitoring system. This system can alert you if your tire pressure is too low. If the TPMS light comes on, be sure to check your tire pressure and inflate your tires as needed.
